Supply, Fabrication, Galvanizing, of 900t of Structural Steel.
The project consists of a 64m clearspan Hangar with an attached 2 level Headquarter Building and wrap around workshop bays and associated buildings.
The Hangar includes Galvanized hollow section trusses which were lifted in place as a dual 40t module or single 17t Trusses. Cranage on site included 25, 50 and 350t cranes, Booms, Telehandlers and Scissors. Several overhead crane rails are attached to the roof trusses with final alignment surveyed and final adjustment calculated once the roof sheet and other items were installed so the crane rail accuracy is maintained.
Two main erection crews were used so the Hangar and ancillary buildings could be constructed concurrently.
Detail work for this project covered light fascia members to the Main Hangar columns 36m in height. |
